Respiratory Therapist Assistant Responsibilities:
- Assists in the collection of specimen from patient needing pulmonary diagnostic
- Accomplishes all documents related to RT procedures and submits them to the respiratory therapist to check for validation.
- Assists in the monitoring of patients hooked to any MSA-PH medical equipment and in handling patients on mechanical life support.
- Assists in processing patients needing pulmonary services and in taking care of patients attached to mechanical ventilators.
- Participates in any company training.
- Evaluates and maintains the proper operating conditions of all equipment/instruments to meet the safety standard for both patient and respiratory therapy staff.
- Prevents the spread of infection by strictly following the infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines.
- Maintains work areas in a clean and orderly fashion at all times.
- Performs other miscellaneous and related duties as requested by the RT Supervisor, Area Manager and the MSA-PH officers.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of BS Respiratory Therapy
- Good clinical and technical skills
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
