Responsibilities:
- Sets up the equipment, needed supplies and accessories based on physician’s order.
- Prepares the patient and explains the procedure.
- Operates the equipment and do the procedure per physician’s request.
- Documents all pertinent information regarding patient’s status and determines measurements and images to be saved needed by the cardiologist to aid in the assessment of patient’s condition.
- Bills the patient and submits the charge slips with official receipt number to the Supervisor.
- Prepares the gathered data and images to be read by the assigned Cardiologist; types the official result duly signed by the Cardiographer and releases it to the patient. Files the original copy of the result and makes sure that records are kept properly.
- Participates in any company training.
- Evaluates and maintains the proper operating conditions of the 2D Echocardiograph machine to ensure its functionality.
- Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion at all times and strictly follows the infection prevention and control (IPC) guidelines.
- Performs other miscellaneous and related duties as requested by the RT Supervisor, the Area Manager and the MSA-PH Officers.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of any 4-year Allied Health course
- Preferably with 2D Echo training or experience
- Good clinical and technical skills
- Computer literate
- Good communication skills
- Willing to be trained in handling 2D Echo patient and equipment
